DIY - Natural Agate Coasters

I've been slowly re-vamping my home decor. Selling pieces of furniture that I once was into. For anyone who knows me, they know I love my glam. My home style is a mixture of Living Spaces meets Zgallerie. My living room is full of mercury glass candles, textured pillows, ghost chairs, faux fur and a color pallet of grays, whites and creams. I love mixing colors, textures and prints.

I've been wanting to make coasters for my coffee table.. but had a hard time spending $50.00. So, I decided to create them myself. Read below on how to make your own coasters!

These could also be used as place cards or fun table numbers for any wedding or event!

I purchased these at American Imports in San Diego. They cost me $15.00 total. They have a variety of colors ranging from pink, purple, to natural.

What you'll need: paint brushes, Rub'n Buff foil paint, and felt pads. I purchased all this for $8.00 (with coupon) from Hobby Lobby. The paints come in all different metallic shades (gold, copper and silver).

Start painting the edges of the rock all the way around. Make sure to pick a side that will be faced down to stick felt bottoms on.

Once paint is dry, stick felt bottoms on the underside of your coaster to prevent scratching and surfaces.

Pop open a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoy! Total cost for this project was $23.00.
