Planning a wedding involves spending money! When I meet with a new client... the first thing I ask them is "where do you want to see your money well spent?" Things add up very quickly. The second you mention the word "wedding" the price just quadrupled! Before planning your wedding, or meeting with your planner you need to determine what's important to you!
When planning my own wedding, there were 3 very important things on my list. This list including aspects of my wedding I wanted to invest money in.
Photography was the most important vendor I booked. Your photographs are the ONLY thing you have left after your wedding day is over. Hiring someone that doesn't have experience or a portfolio showcasing their work needs to be seriously questioned. You will end up extremely disappointed looking back at your photos.
Food and Beverage is what keeps your guests happy. Let's face it... the minute your ceremony is over... guests are b-lining for the bar line! Great drinks, and food not only keep guests satisfied, but also allows for good conversation and unfamiliar faces to become acquainted. Regardless if you can't afford to host a full bar. Beer, wine and a signature cocktail will do just fine.
Flowers... and oh how I love them! What girl doesn't sit hours on Pinterst pinning bouquet arrangements after another? Flowers make the biggest difference. Regardless what color scheme you choose, flowers make a wedding romantic and intimate. They set the mood for the evening and give your guests something to admire!
